Repeals Section 65-3-38.1 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, which previously required a 10-year waiting period after an elected official leaves office before a highway, road, street, or bridge could be named after them.

Eliminates the requirement that the local governing body must adopt a resolution before the Legislature can enact legislation naming any highway, road, street, or bridge on the state highway system after any person.

Takes effect upon passage.
