Appropriates $7,706,102 from the State General Fund to the Department of Public Safety, Division of Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol for fiscal year 2015 (July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015)

Funds a 60-member Highway Patrol trooper training class to be conducted at the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officers Training Academy

Creates 60 permanent full-time positions authorized under this appropriation

Addresses replacement of retired active patrol officers and prepares for anticipated retirements among current patrol officer force

Takes effect July 1, 2014
