Appropriates $375,000 from the State General Fund to the State Department of Health for fiscal year 2015 (July 1, 2014 - June 30, 2015).

Funds are directed as a grant to the Southern Health Commission, Inc., a health and wellness center in Washington County.

Southern Health Commission's goals include providing comprehensive clinical services, offering a place for physicians and pharmacists to practice, and promoting healthy lifestyles in the community.

Up to $50,000 of the grant may be used for evaluation services contracted with a state institution of higher learning, preferably a Historically Black College or University (HBCU) in the Mississippi Delta.

Act takes effect July 1, 2014.
