Amends Mississippi Code Section 11-21-15 to limit the appointment of freeholders in partition proceedings to "not more than" three discreet freeholders, rather than an unspecified number.

Requires freeholders appointed to partition land to not be related to the parties by consanguinity or affinity.

Allows either party to object to any appointed master for cause, with the court filling the position with another appointment if the objection is sustained.

Permits the chancellor to fill any vacancy among the appointed masters by written appointment at any time during proceedings.

Effective date: July 1, 2014.
