Maintains existing restriction that only the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol may use radar on public roads, with exceptions for municipal police in cities with populations of 2,000 or more

Allows municipal officers in cities with populations exceeding 15,000 to use radar on federal highways within city limits, while prohibiting Highway Safety Patrol from using radar in those same areas

Permits college and university campus police to use radar on campuses with more than 2,000 enrolled students

Effective date of July 1, 2014
