Amends Section 25-41-3 of the Mississippi Code to revise the Open Meetings Law and enhance transparency for public bodies subject to the law.

Removes the exemption previously granted to public hospital staffs, boards, and committees, requiring them to comply with open meetings requirements.

Retains exemptions for the judiciary, law enforcement, the military, State Probation and Parole Board, Workers' Compensation Commission, legislative subcommittees, and other specified entities.

Clarifies that "private hospital" staffs, boards, and committees remain exempt from the open meetings law.

Becomes effective July 1, 2014.
