Amends Mississippi Code Section 97-15-13 to increase penalties for hunting or discharging firearms on public roads, highways, levees, and railroad rights-of-way during open seasons for deer and turkey.

First offense: Fine of $100-$500 or 60 days to 6 months in county jail, or both.

Second or subsequent offense: Fine of $500-$1,000 or 90 days to 9 months in county jail, or both.

Exempts law enforcement officers performing official duties and individuals engaged in lawful self-defense or protection of property and livestock.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
