Authorizes municipalities to provide required legal notices on their official website and two other forms of social media instead of or in addition to traditional newspaper publication and public posting.

Applies to notices for municipal activities including charter amendments, building code adoptations, meeting date changes, tax levies, property cleaning hearings, abandoned property proceedings, municipal incorporations, and local improvements.

Defines "social media" as forms of electronic communication such as websites for social networking and microblogging through which users create online communities to share information and content.

Amends 12 sections of the Mississippi Code of 1972 to add social media notice options while maintaining existing newspaper and public posting requirements as alternatives.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
