Amends Mississippi Code Section 11-1-63 to include product designers alongside manufacturers and sellers in products liability protections.

Designers are now subject to the same liability conditions as manufacturers and sellers, including defect requirements, adequate warnings standards, and design defect analysis.

Provides that manufacturers must indemnify product designers (in addition to sellers) for litigation costs and damages unless the designer exercised substantial control over the defective aspect, altered the product, had knowledge of the defect, or made express representations about it.

Shields product designers (like sellers) from liability unless they exercised substantial control over the defective aspect, altered or modified the product in a way that caused harm, or had actual or constructive knowledge of the defect.

Effective July 1, 2014.
