Brings forward Section 23-15-977 of Mississippi Code of 1972 regarding qualifying deadlines and fees for judicial candidates for amendment purposes.

Sets the filing deadline for judicial candidates at 5:00 p.m. on the first Friday after the first Monday in May prior to the general election.

Establishes qualifying fees of $200 for Supreme Court and Court of Appeals candidates, $100 for circuit judge and chancellor candidates, and $15 for county judge and family court judge candidates.

Requires candidates for higher judicial offices to file with the State Board of Election Commissioners and county judge candidates to file with the circuit clerk of the proper county.

Provides procedures for filling vacancies when a sole qualifying candidate dies, resigns, or becomes disqualified, with different processes depending on timing relative to the general election.
