MS HB93

Amends Section 97-3-19 of the Mississippi Code to add a new subsection (i) defining capital murder to include murders resulting in the death of more than one victim when such murders are connected as parts of a common scheme or plan.

Expands the definition of capital murder beyond existing categories (killing peace officers, persons under life sentence, use of explosives, contract killings, and killings during commission of certain felonies) to include multiple murders with a common nexus.

Takes effect immediately upon passage.
