Recognizes White as a National Geographic-certified teacher consultant who has held leadership positions with the Mississippi Council for the Social Studies and the Mississippi Geographic Alliance

Notes his previous honors including Rosa Scott School's High School Teacher of the Year for 2012-2013 and Mississippi Council for the Social Studies Teacher of the Year for 2003-2004

Acknowledges his receipt of Nissan Grant Awards in 2009 and 2012 for purchasing technology equipment including Apple iPads, and his 2010 study trip to Japan with the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Mr. White, the Principal of Rosa Scott High School, and the Capitol Press Corps
