Proposes amendment to Section 41 of the Mississippi Constitution of 1890 to reduce the minimum age requirement for Mississippi House of Representatives membership from 21 years to 18 years of age

Maintains all other eligibility requirements: candidates must be qualified electors of the state and have been resident citizens of the state for 4 years, including 2 years in the district they seek to represent

Submitted to qualified electors for approval at the November 2014 general election held on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November

Justification cites that 18-year-olds are eligible to vote, serve in the Armed Forces, and should have equal opportunity to hold elected office

Ballot explanation: "This proposed constitutional amendment will lower the minimum age requirement to serve as a member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from twenty-one to eighteen years of age"
