Commends Reverend John Taylor, Jr. for his outstanding community service to Jackson, Mississippi and surrounding areas.

Recognizes Taylor's founding of multiple community initiatives including the Frank E. Melton Senior Citizens Thanksgiving Dinner (serving 200 seniors yearly since 2009), John Jr. Gospel Ministries, Wood Street Christmas Toy Give Away, and Annual God Loves You Community Festival.

Acknowledges Taylor's professional work as a detention officer with the Hinds County Sheriff's Office, his HIV and STD Prevention Counselor certification, and FEMA Emergency Management training used during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita.

Notes Taylor's membership and volunteer work with the Jackson Medical Mall Community Advisory Board, Red Cross, Mission Mississippi, King Hiram Grand Lodge, and First Baptist Church of Jackson.
