East Mississippi Community College Lions football team won the 2013 NJCAA National Championship on December 8, 2013, defeating Georgia Military 52-32 at the Mississippi Bowl in Biloxi, marking the first national championship game played on Mississippi soil.

The Lions finished the 2013 season with a 12-0 record under Head Coach Buddy Stephens, outscoring opponents 747-119 and winning their second national title in three years (also won 2011 NJCAA Championship).

Key offensive performances included Lakenderic Thomas with 234 rushing yards and three touchdowns, Antoinne Adkins with six receptions for 186 yards and two touchdowns, and Dontreal Pruitt with 340 passing yards and three touchdowns.

The resolution honors the 2013 football roster, coaching staff, and Head Coach Buddy Stephens, and recognizes the team's achievement as a tribute to legendary Coach Bull Sullivan.
