Commends Tracee Thompson, an English and language arts teacher at Jim Hill High School in Jackson, Mississippi, for receiving the 2014 Milken Educator Award and $25,000 teaching incentive prize.

Recognizes Thompson's 11-year teaching career and her ability to adapt teaching methods to individual students' learning needs while tutoring three days per week and serving on multiple committees.

Notes the Milken Educator Awards are the nation's preeminent teacher recognition program, founded by Lowell Milken to celebrate excellence in K-12 education and demonstrate that educator quality is the most important factor in student achievement.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Ms. Thompson, the Jackson Public School District, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
