Commends Dr. Gerry Cadenhead Fletcher for her over 50-year career in nursing, including roles as Associate Dean and Dean of the College of Nursing at the University of Southern Mississippi.

Recognizes her leadership at USM from 1980 to retirement, where she served as professor, chair of nursing, interim director, and dean starting in 1997, educating hundreds of registered nurses.

Acknowledges her work as Assistant Administrator at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, where she directed a Robert Wood Johnson grant and led hospital restructuring and quality enhancement initiatives.

Honors her active participation in the Mississippi Nurses Association, including serving as Director of the Council for Health Affairs and helping develop the organization's Political Action Committee.

Notes her posthumous induction into the Mississippi Nurses Association's Hall of Fame on March 3, 2014, following her death on July 22, 2013.
