Commends and congratulates Bay Creek Baptist Church on its 118th year anniversary, established in 1896 by Reverend Joseph Lewis Bryant who donated the church land and cemetery.

Recognizes the church's second sanctuary, constructed in 1938 from heart pine lumber and built by congregation members, which remains largely unchanged since original construction.

Acknowledges Reverend Bryant's service as a pioneer preacher, moderator of the Black Creek Association, and member of the Mississippi House of Representatives from 1908-1910.

Honors the church's historical significance as a community cornerstone, including its connection to 17 veterans buried in Bay Creek Cemetery and a former Lamar County Sheriff and Justice Court Judge.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Bay Creek Baptist Church and the Capitol Press Corps.
