Mourns the death of Sergeant Kevin Gale Stauffer, Jr. of the Tupelo Police Department, who passed away on December 23, 2013, while serving his community.

Commends Sergeant Stauffer's distinguished service record, including tours of duty with the Louisiana National Guard's 1088th Engineer Battalion in Iraq and his work with the Lee County Sheriff's Department before joining the Tupelo Police Department.

Recognizes his educational achievement of earning a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from the University of Mississippi and his commitment to crime investigation and victims' rights.

Expresses deepest sympathy to his surviving family members, including his wife Beth, two children, parents, and extended family and friends.

Directs that copies of the resolution be provided to Sergeant Stauffer's family, the Tupelo Police Department, and the Capitol Press Corps.
