Commemorates Andrew "Sugarman" Daniel on the 75th anniversary of the March 29, 1939 Clear Creek Bridge disaster in Edwards, Mississippi, where an 80-foot bridge span was swept away by floodwaters, killing at least 16 of 24 travelers.

Honors Daniel's heroic one-man search and rescue effort in which he repeatedly dove into swollen creek waters to save survivors and retrieve bodies and sunken vehicles from the worst traffic accident in Mississippi history.

Recognizes Daniel as a respected local laborer born January 10, 1900, in Hinds County, known as "Sugarman" for giving candy to children and later becoming a community legend for his storytelling, horticultural knowledge, and gentle nature.

Notes that Warren County and Hinds County officials designated rural roads on both sides of the Big Black River as the Andrew "Sugarman" Daniel Memorial Highway to preserve his memory.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to the Town of Edwards, Mississippi, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
