Commends and congratulates Cara Crawford of Brandon, Mississippi, a Jackson Preparatory School senior, for being named a Distinguished Finalist in the 2014 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.

Recognizes Crawford's volunteer service in co-sponsoring a 5K race that attracted over 300 participants and raised nearly $13,000 for cancer research at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, initiated after her grandfather's cancer diagnosis.

Acknowledges the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards program, presented by Prudential Financial and the National Association of Secondary School Principals, which honors young volunteers demonstrating extraordinary community commitment and was in its nineteenth year with over 30,000 participants.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Cara Crawford and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
