Commends the East Side Trojans Boys Basketball Team for winning the 2013-2014 Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 3A North Half Championship and finishing as runner-up in the Class 3A State Championship.

Team completed the season with a record of 27 wins and 6 losses, defeating Kemper County High School 69-48 in the North Half Championship game.

Team roster included 6 seniors (Perry Henry, Clarence Stewart, Jon Paul Davis, Jalen Thomas, Lamarcus Ferrell, and Barron Burns), 3 juniors, 3 sophomores, and 2 freshmen.

Head Coach Leroy Cotton and Assistant Coach Ladarryl Campbell led the team; under Coach Cotton's leadership, the Trojans have made three state tournament appearances in 2009, 2010, and 2014, compared to only one prior appearance in 1995.
