Requires kindergarten through grade 8 students to receive 150 minutes per week of physical activity-based instruction and 45 minutes per week of health education instruction.

Requires grades 9-12 students to complete one-half Carnegie unit in physical education or physical activity as a graduation requirement.

Physical education instructors and school principals are subject to license suspension by the State Department of Education if their school does not meet the minimum mandatory student physical activity requirements, effective with the 2014-2015 school year.

Mandates that all physical education and health instruction be based on current state standards provided by the State Department of Education.

Establishes requirements for a state-employed physical activity coordinator to assist school districts with implementing physical education and physical activity programs.
