Amends Section 37-106-29 of Mississippi Code to establish a scholarship for students with a minimum 3.0 grade point average (calculated on 4.0 scale) after seven semesters of high school.

Eligible students maintaining the 3.0 GPA shall receive a scholarship equal to the full cost of tuition at any state institution of higher learning or public community college in Mississippi.

Scholarship recipients must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA each semester to continue eligibility, compared to the standard 2.5 GPA requirement for other Mississippi Resident Tuition Assistance Grant recipients.

Award applies to freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are Mississippi residents and meet other program requirements including ACT score of 15 or equivalent qualifications.

Effective date is July 1, 2014.
