Amends Section 37-9-39 of Mississippi Code to require standard teacher contracts prescribed by the State Board of Education provide for equal monthly salary installments beginning in the first month of employment, regardless of days worked in any particular month.

Establishes that the daily rate of pay multiplied by days actually worked in a month must equal at least one-twelfth (1/12) of the contracted annual salary amount.

Provides that if a licensed employee fails to work the total number of contract days, compensation is calculated by dividing total contract amount by total contract days, then multiplying by actual days worked.

Maintains that school employees whose employment ends during a school term are paid only for the portion of the term actually worked, with no payment for work not performed.

Takes effect upon passage.
