State Board of Education, with State Board of Health assistance, must establish regulations requiring coaches or trainers to provide CPR and automated external defibrillator training to high school students in physical education class.

Training must include a minimum of 30 minutes of hands-on instruction as part of the developed program.

All public school districts and accredited private schools must comply with CPR training requirements beginning in the 2014-2015 school year.

Act takes effect July 1, 2014.
