Amends Section 97-37-7 of Mississippi Code to exempt honorably discharged military members from firearms training course requirements for concealed pistol permit endorsements to carry weapons in courthouses and certain other locations.

Honorably discharged military members may obtain the courthouse carry endorsement upon proof of military status satisfactory to the Department of Public Safety, without completing the instructional course otherwise required.

Applies to concealed pistol permit holders licensed under Section 45-9-101 who seek authorization to carry weapons in courthouses (except during judicial proceedings) and other specified locations.

Effective date: July 1, 2014.
