Amends Section 37-9-49, Mississippi Code of 1972, to authorize school district superintendents to deduct professional association dues from employee salaries upon written authorization.

Expands deduction eligibility to include superintendents, principals, teachers, and other school employees for membership dues in professional organizations or associations.

Requires written authorization from affected employees before any dues deduction can occur and permits school boards to develop policies and procedures for implementing the voluntary deduction process.

Maintains existing authorization for deductions of health insurance premiums and tax-sheltered annuity contributions.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
