Requires public and private schools in grades 7-12 to adopt and implement a concussion management and return-to-play policy with specific components.

Schools must provide parents/guardians with a signed copy of the concussion policy before the athletic season begins.

Athletes showing concussion symptoms must be immediately removed from practice or competition for the remainder of that day and cannot return without clearance from a health care provider trained in concussion management.

Requires the State Department of Health to endorse one online concussion recognition education course to provide information about concussions in youth athletics.

Provides liability protection for schools, health care providers, and athletic organizations that comply with the act's requirements; effective July 1, 2014.
