Reduces the reimbursement timeline from three (3) years to two (2) years for officers who resign or are terminated and move to another governmental entity in law enforcement.

Requires the new employing governmental entity to reimburse the former employer for the full share of law enforcement training expenses (changed from proportionate share).

Applies to full-time and part-time law enforcement officers employed by municipalities, counties, or other governmental entities.

Becomes effective July 1, 2014.
