Amends Section 57-117-5 of the Mississippi Code to modify requirements for certifying health care industry zones by the Mississippi Development Authority (MDA).

Expands zone eligibility to include any county containing a facility with a certificate of need for hospital beds, removing the previous five-mile radius restriction.

Allows certification of zones in counties containing universities or colleges accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools that award degrees or train workers in health care or pharmaceutical fields, if located along or near Mississippi Highway 67 within a master planned community.

Requires health care industry facilities needing certificates of need to comply with Section 41-7-191 to qualify as certified businesses.

Effective immediately upon passage.
