Amends Section 41-7-173 of Mississippi Code of 1972 to add a definition of "radiation therapy services" to the Health Care Certificate of Need Law.

Defines "radiation therapy services" as treatment of cancer and other diseases using ionizing radiation from high energy photons (x-rays or gamma rays) or charged particles (electrons, protons or heavy nuclei).

Excludes low energy, superficial external beam x-ray treatment of superficial skin lesions from the definition for purposes of certificate of need requirements.

Takes effect July 1, 2014.
