Removes the June 30, 2018 sunset date (repealer) on the Mississippi Forestry Commission's authority to appoint six law enforcement officers with arson investigation authority.

Allows these officers to bear arms, investigate forest fires, and make arrests limited to woods arson cases.

Officers may issue citations for recklessly or negligently causing fire to spread onto another's land and must comply with minimum law enforcement training standards.

Makes the arson law enforcement officer authority permanent rather than temporary.
