Extends the repeal date for the Hancock County Tourism Development Bureau from July 1, 2014 to July 1, 2017

Authorizes a tax of up to 2% on gross proceeds from room rentals at hotels, motels, and similar establishments renting to transient guests for 90 days or less in Hancock County

Requires an election on continuing the tax if 20% or 1,500 qualified electors (whichever is less) file a written protest against the imposition within the specified timeframe

Tax proceeds, less 3% retained by the Department of Revenue for collection costs, must be dedicated solely to promoting tourism and tourism-related activities through the nine-member Tourism Development Bureau

Bureau members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors (4 members), Cities of Bay St. Louis and Waveland (2 each), and Hancock County Chamber of Commerce (1), serving staggered terms of up to three years
