Extends the repeal date of the Hattiesburg Tourism Commission from July 1, 2014 to July 1, 2018.

Maintains the seven-member commission composition: two hotel/motel industry members, one Chamber of Commerce or Economic Development Foundation member, one University of Southern Mississippi representative, and three at-large members appointed by the mayor and ratified by city council.

Authorizes the city to levy up to 2% tax on gross proceeds from overnight hotel and motel room rentals to fund commission operations, with proceeds dedicated solely to tourism promotion activities.

Requires a $50,000 bond from each commission member, with bond premiums paid from commission funds.

Allows the city to call an election if 20% of qualified electors or 1,500 residents (whichever is less) petition against the tax levy within the notice period.
