Recognizes and pays tribute to Marshall L. Fisher's legacy of leadership upon his retirement as Director of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics after 37 years of service and 8 years with the State.

Acknowledges Fisher's leadership on state and national drug policy issues, including awards such as the Jim Ingram Lifetime Achievement Award and the National Methamphetamine and Pharmaceutical Initiative National Impact Award.

Highlights Fisher's major accomplishments including restructuring the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, creating the Jackson Enforcement Taskforce, establishing the state Fusion Center, and leading efforts that resulted in a 98% decrease in operational meth labs and 83% reduction in meth incidents after pseudoephedrine was placed on Schedule III in 2010.

Credits Fisher with organizing Mississippi's 2012 Prescription Drug Summit that brought together law enforcement and physicians to address prescription drug abuse.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Marshall L. Fisher and his family, transmitted to the Commissioner of Public Safety and the Governor, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
