Recognizes Mississippi Air National Guard Chief Master Sergeant Jerome Jackson of Preston, Mississippi, on his retirement as a Combat Veteran of Operation Desert Shield/Storm and Operation Noble Eagle.

Jackson held the rank of Chief Master Sergeant since 2008 at Joint Forces Headquarters in Jackson, with responsibility for training and assignment policy affecting over 2,900 enlisted personnel statewide.

Prior service includes 25 years (1978-2003) with Mississippi Highway Patrol as Staff Sergeant and Public Affairs Officer, plus assignments with the Highway Safety Patrol and Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.

Recipient of numerous military decorations and awards including the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, and recognition as 2003 Senior Mississippi Air National Guard NCO of the Year.

Resolution extends the state's gratitude to Jackson and his family for his leadership and dedication to military and public service.
