Anne Elizabeth Buys of Vicksburg was crowned Miss Mississippi's Outstanding Teen on June 4, 2013, and represented Mississippi at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Florida on August 13-17, 2013.

Buys is a senior at Porter's Chapel Academy in Vicksburg, daughter of Mark and Judy Buys, and a scholarship winner from the Hattiesburg-based Leaf Foundation.

She won over $4,000 in cash scholarships and $30,000 in tuition waiver scholarships, and performed a jazz dance for the talent competition with a platform focused on Operation Blessing for clean water access.

The concurrent resolution commends and congratulates Buys for her contributions as an unofficial Ambassador for Mississippi and her accomplishments bringing honor to her community, school, and state.
