Recognizes Columbus Fire and Rescue as the first fire department in Mississippi to achieve Accredited Agency status from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI)

Columbus Fire and Rescue is one of fewer than 200 agencies nationwide to receive this international accreditation, placing it in the top 1% of U.S. fire departments

The CFAI accreditation is voluntary and demonstrates the agency's commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and quality service delivery to the community

Directs that this resolution be presented to Columbus Fire and Rescue, the Mayor and City Council of Columbus, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps
