Chelsea Kaitlin Rick of Fulton, Mississippi was crowned Miss Mississippi 2013 on July 13, 2013, and competed in the 93rd Miss America Pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey in September 2013.

Rick won multiple awards at the state competition including Talent Preliminary, Swimsuit Preliminary, Evening Gown Poise, and over $10,000 in scholarships; at Miss America she was a Top 15 Finalist and won one of two $5,000 STEM scholarships.

Rick is a 2012 honors graduate of Millsaps College with a degree in biology and was enrolled as a second-year medical student at William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine with plans to serve in rural Mississippi.

Rick created the "Full Plates, Healthy States" platform initiative to combat childhood hunger and food insecurity by providing nutritious food to vulnerable populations, having raised over 10,000 pounds of food through various community programs.

Rick served as Mississippi's Goodwill Ambassador for the Children's Miracle Network during her year as Miss Mississippi, volunteering and raising funds for children's hospitals throughout the state.
