Commemorates the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Brice's Crossroads and Battle of Tupelo-Harrisburg, both fought in Mississippi during June 1864 as part of General Sherman's Atlanta Campaign.

Recognizes a grand reenactment event scheduled for June 13-14, 2014, featuring Cleburne's Division of Reenactors on the 1500-acre Brice's Crossroads Battlefield with two full-scale scripted battles and historically authentic scenarios.

Honors Mississippi's Civil War heritage, noting the state contributed 49 Infantry Regiments, 25 Cavalry and Artillery Regiments, 78,000 men in service, with 60,000 lost in action or disease, including President Jefferson F. Davis and 33 Confederate Generals.

Directs transmission of the resolution to the Governor, Mississippi Department of Archives and History, Sesquicentennial Commission, Battlefield Commission, and Brice's Crossroads Archives and History Museum to encourage citizen participation and education.

Acknowledges the reenactment's educational value through activities including demonstrations of Civil War era engineering, medical care, music, uniforms, weapons, and soldier life, with potential to draw heritage tourism during the Civil War sesquicentennial.
