Recognizes Columbus Fire and Rescue (CFR) as the first fire department in Mississippi to achieve Internationally Accredited Agency status with the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI) and Center for Public Safety Excellence, Inc. (CPSE)

Notes that CFR is one of fewer than 200 agencies nationwide and ranks in the top 1% of all fire departments to achieve this accreditation through the CFAI's Voluntary Self-Assessment and Accreditation Program

Acknowledges the CFAI's mission to help fire and emergency service agencies achieve excellence through self-assessment and accreditation to improve service delivery and continuous quality improvement

Directs that this resolution be presented to Columbus Fire and Rescue, the Mayor and City Council of Columbus, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps
