Amends Section 25-9-153 of the Mississippi Code to permit employees of state institutions of higher learning to operate state-owned motor vehicles with a valid driver's license of the appropriate classification from any state.

Maintains existing requirement that state agency employees must hold a valid Mississippi driver's license or a valid driver's license from a contiguous state to operate state-owned vehicles.

Violating the licensing requirements constitutes good cause for dismissal from employment.

Effective upon passage.
