Authorizes sheriffs and deputy sheriffs to use radar speed detection equipment on county public roads, streets, and highways located outside incorporated municipal limits.

Radar use by sheriffs is restricted to roads under county board of supervisors jurisdiction for maintenance and construction.

Maintains existing radar authorization for municipal law enforcement in municipalities with population of 2,000 or more, and in municipalities over 15,000 population on federally designated highways.

Maintains existing radar authorization for college and university campus police forces on campuses with more than 2,000 enrolled students.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
