• Amends Mississippi Code Section 47-7-2 to revise the definition of "technical violation" for probation purposes to exclude commission of new crimes and absconding from supervision.

• Defines "absconding from supervision" as failure of a probationer to report to their supervising officer for six or more consecutive months.

• Changes the definition of "juvenile," "minor," or "youthful" from seventeen (17) years of age to eighteen (18) years of age.

• Effective date is July 1, 2015.
