MS HB1147

Increases the maximum number of package retailer's permits that a single person may own or control from one to ten.

Applies the limit to individuals, members of firms or partnerships, stockholders/officers/directors in corporations, and members of limited liability companies or associations.

Prevents spouses and household relatives of a permit holder from owning additional package retailer's permits that would cause the combined total to exceed ten permits.

Amends Section 67-1-37 to make conforming changes to department rules and regulations governing permit issuance.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
