Amends Section 41-9-69, Mississippi Code of 1972, regarding hospital record retention requirements.

Removes the requirement that hospitals notify patients or their representatives before retiring X-ray film or other graphic data.

Eliminates the requirement for patient written consent or the 60-day notice period that previously allowed patients to request hospitals maintain X-ray films or graphic data.

Retains the requirement that written and signed findings from a radiologist or other professional interpreting the X-ray or graphic data be kept for the same retention period as other hospital records.

Effective date: July 1, 2015.
