Only final orders, final judgments, and final actions of the Board of Architecture regarding disciplinary actions against architects and interior designers may be appealed to chancery court.

Appeals must be filed within 30 days and require a $500 bond; nonresidents of Mississippi must appeal to the Chancery Court of the First Judicial District of Hinds County.

The chancery court must review the board's record and issue a determination within 60 days after the close of briefing, following Mississippi Rules of Appellate Procedure Rules 28 and 31.

Board orders do not take effect until the appeal period expires, and perfected appeals act as a supersedeas (stay) of the appealed action.

Suspensions of certificates required under Sections 93-11-157 or 93-11-163 are excluded from this appeal procedure and instead follow the appeal procedures specified in those sections.
