Amends Section 99-19-83 of the Mississippi Code to revise habitual offender sentencing requirements to include crimes of violence as defined by Section 97-3-2.

Requires mandatory life imprisonment without possibility of parole, probation, or early release for persons convicted of a felony crime of violence who have two prior felony convictions, with at least one prior felony being a crime of violence.

Prior convictions must have resulted in separate sentences of one year or more served in state and/or federal penal institutions, whether concurrent or consecutive.

Life sentences imposed under this statute cannot be reduced or suspended, and offenders are ineligible for parole, probation, or any other form of early release from Department of Corrections custody.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
