Increases first offense penalties for fraudulent identity use from a fine of $5,000 and up to 5 years imprisonment to a fine of $10,000 and up to 10 years imprisonment.

Increases second or subsequent offense penalties from a fine of $10,000 and up to 10 years imprisonment to a fine of $20,000 and up to 20 years imprisonment.

Maintains requirement that convicted persons pay restitution as provided in Section 99-37-1 et seq., in addition to fines and imprisonment.

Applies to fraudulent use of identity, social security numbers, credit card numbers, debit card numbers, and other identifying information to obtain goods, services, or anything of value.

Takes effect July 1, 2015.
